Our website received a design update and a new content management system. The content is now managed by Magnolia CMS.
Everyone is here and carefully follows the instructor. At the same time, physically far from each other, but practically still in one place. The ordinary trainings of our IT developers should be held even in homeoffice-circumstances. The current topic is „The Use of LiquiBase”.
In order to slow down the spread of the coronavirus epidemic and for the health and safety of our employees and partners, we have decided to continue working from home from March 16, 2020. It’s important to emphasize that there should be no service disruptions because of this change. Our team will be operating at the usual high service-level as if we were in the office. This means that if you need any support, our team will be here for you as always.
In 2002 Guidance started as a small team with a few employees. The rapid development of information technology, the emerging needs, the increased number of partners made it necessary to employ more and more professionals.
Despite the increasing number of employees, we aim to keep the familiar environment. Continuing the traditions of the previous office, our office area expanded with a new room. Our new office surface has been expanded with a garden tent and offers a pleasant work environment in the shade for the next season. Outdoor wifi is provided and good weather was already ordered.
In the life of Guidance Ltd a big step occurred during the weekend. After many years of development and expansion, the company moved to a new headquarters. We hope our partners and prospective customers will get to know the new building at a future meeting.
Testbirds, a test and research company made a survey about the 10 largest banks in Hungary, regarding digital channels, internet bank, mobile bank, IVR, ATM and the website respectively. The research occurred at March 2017. The result shows that banking customers get the biggest customer experience at Raiffeisen Bank. It is a pleasure for us, since the internet bank and mobile bank has the most weight in the result, celebrating the development work of Guidance.
Guidance Ltd. signed a Partnership agreement with Magnolia International Ltd after some successful projects.
Since our Junior Web Developer Program has been very successful in the previous years, we decided to launch it this year as well.

The Raiffeisen's mobile app is out with a new version for Windows Phone! The DirektNet internetbank has many useful new functions, also live tile solution to increase the user experience for the clients!

The event was held on the 19th of May and as usual it was visited by many people from the sales field. The Guidance Ltd. presented the Saleslet and the mobile solutions at our stand. Out presence was yet again very successful, next to the vocational conversations we gave our small promotional presents too to the stand’s visitors.
The Guidance Kft. presents its newest solution which aims to switch from the expensive SMS to the cheaper Push messages. With this software it’s quick and easy to send out different types of notifications to the clients, check out the connected statistics, while the dashboard can be reached from anywhere and anytime.
May 7th was Mobility Day, the event was hosted by Microsoft Hungary. At the center of the conference were various means of increasing competitiveness - smart devices, mobile solutions, applications optimized for touch input. Participating companies were able to present their Microsoft-based products/services and share their experiences with mobility solutions.
The Hungarian Banking Sales conference is coming up this May, on the 19th, where the Guidance Kft. will also present itself as an exhibitor.
The Financial IT conference was visited by around 200 people, where the sector’s leaders shared their opinion and experience on trends, IT developments and the current situation in Hungary. On the event one of the first topics was the current issues affecting the banks.
We implemented the integration of the payment methods of Nébih for the EFER (Elektronikus Fizetési és Elszámolási Rendszer - Electronic Payment and Settlement System) operated by KEK KH. With this the Nébih has a centralized, much easier and up-to-date way to use the options given by the EFER.
Currently there is no central database for the horses (let it be pedigree sires or livestock), which would count all of them and would include information about the owner as well. Our company started a new project, given to us by the NÉBIH, with the goal to create this database with the help of different sources, like breeder associations.
Between the 8th and 9th of April, the annual Smartmobile conference was held, during which there were several presentations and workshops in 4 locations. The topics were about mobile design, media and advertisement, also about mobile gaming.
This year's E-banking summit once again was a pretty up to par event, it was definitely worth to go and see, you can tell this by looking at the presenters' and exhibitors' names and the presentations itself - not to mention Mr. Péter Braun (OTP Bank's member of the board, VISZ president) who opened the summit and moderated it as well. The topics about financial IT always brings news and surprises, we can also use the knowledge learnt here.
On women’s day a special event for women was held, called "Legjobb napod" (Your Best Day), where the Guidance team also presented itself. Other than being there personally to meet new people, one of the legjobboldalad.hu portal’s employee made an interview with Ádám Takács, thus with all this help we - again - found new and spirited users for our MitKérsz? project.
The annual e-banking summit was held on the 5th of March, where nearly all of the banks from Hungary showed up. Because of this the Guidance Ltd. also felt it a must to be there, what’s more, Péter Eppel also presented our company there next to numerous other big names and companies! At the conference some of the biggest topics were e-banking infrastructure, mobile tool management, mobile only banks and Microsoft BI.
The Guidance Kft. will take place on the professional conference held by the Central European Business Centre on the 5th of March, 2015.
Last weekend's Wedding Expo was also visited by the Guidance team to present our solution for an online wishlist. Everyone got interested in this free application with which anyone can easily make a list on what they would like to receive for their wedding. We have a new managing director Adam Takacs since mid of February (14.02.2014). Adam has a wide range of project management and company leadership experience. He worked for Raiffeisen Bank Zrt, Onlinet Group and Telenor before.
We developed a new function to the Sberbank's customer portal which provides a faster more convenient way of banking account opening online.
We made for Sberbank the BBR (Bank Insurance System) application. This new portal helps to manage the full cycle of insurance products within the bank.
Long awaited transactional functionalities has been introduced for the Sberbank Mobile Application first released in June.
Current hobby flying related information, courses and places can be found by lovers of flying on the site. An admin area simplifies renting of planes and managing plane parts registration in accordance with the requirements of the authorities.

The IT infrastructure stabilization project of Raiffeisen Bank has successfully ended. During the project the most frequently occurring application problems has been thoroughly examined and solved following the rank of business criticality by a 4-member expert team with special authorities. The team has also taken part in renewing the application monitoring systems and assisted preparation of strategic decisions related to development and maintenance.

Some of our colleagues have participated in iPhone development course. During the course they have mastered in the elements of the Objective-C language, Xcode usage and iOS application structure and all aspects of the development process from the design to the publication in the iTunes App Store.

We introduced the Banklet application in Raiffeisen Bank. Which For several weeks led to the top lists in the free Business Applications category of the iTunes App Store and the Google Play, ahead of the OTP Bank's, Budapest Bank's, and Citibank's similar applications.
Besides the development projects of financial areas this project was refreshing for us. Requirement specification and feasibility study was provided as consultancy and visual design was made as the first steps for the new Client Service Portal of the remarkable industrial company, Grundfos Manufacturing Hungary. In the occasions of the personal consultancy with the enthusiastic project team of our client, the insight into the Tatabánya factory’s life was a special experience for our colleagues.

Our last client, Duna House Loan Center charged Guidance with developing the web-based loan calculator. DH had used different calculators published by the banks of the market, but the use of them was rather difficult, the information was not safely up-to-date and comprehensive. The database of the new calculator including all the market's loan offers is centrally administrated, the use of the program is quick and simple, so it effectively supports the consultants' daily work.
By one of the acquaintances got in Partnering Conference 2010 we were called upon to give a lecture on the theoretical and practical bases of making workforce schedule for the students of customer service expert faculty in Corvinus University. In the presentation we analyzed the subject in the respects of law, mathematics, and business needs.
November was the month of conferences and exhibitions for our company. We presented BeO - Be Oriented! our working hours scheduler software in Budapest Calling, the first contact center exhibition organized for international audience. We participated the 7th National Business Information Technology Conference in Pécs as sponsor.
We closed the summer by organizing the first Guidance Aviation Day with the help of our client repüljünk.hu. Our colleagues and their families had the chance to admire Budapest from the air. The system of TAXy is suited for registering the claims of the local municipalities effectively. It permits of the efficient exploitation of this resource of incomings.
By the design of Kirowski we revivified the DirektNet portal of Raiffeisen Bank. After the 6-month-long project the redesign was smooth and expedite to the satisfaction of the bank's employees and clients.

Our colleagues represented Guidance as one of the exhibitors of Partnering 2010 - Client Service Conference organized in Tapolca. The conference organized for call centers and client services had more than 200 visitors. We were glad to introduce BeO - Be Oriented! - our working hours scheduler system - to the enquirers, moreover we established further partnership with some of the exhibitors.
Last autumn we were requested to create a system for Budapest Óbuda and Békásmegyer Municipality. The software was supposed to support the registration and levy of non-tax assets. After surveying the exact needs, we started the development, which now is ending. The employees of the municipality started to use "TAXY" that helps them to be much more efficient in their work.
As presenting sponsor of CONFENIS 2009 our company participated in organizing the international conference. The conference concerned with integrated Enterprise Resource Planning systems was held on 28th-30th of October.
The BroadVision - Hilti project started in September in Switzerland has been successfully finished for our colleagues a few weeks ago. Besides the international experiences our associates have gained large practice in applying JSF technology and they have get acquainted with BroadVision Portal 8.1 version as well. Due to the successful common project our partnership with BroadVision Inc. has been deepened on.
We ended our project on 11 April, 2009. The result is the possibility of overall management of the fix transfers on Raiffeisen DirektNet. The clients are able to amend or delete their active fix transfer requests on DirektNet. If the user has more assignments, the fixed instalments are not needed to be signed separately, but they may be enforced collectively.
We held our course on the topic of Java & Web in the middle of February. A curriculum in Hungarian has been prepared for this course as the first part of a planned series with the title Guiversity.
Guidance Ltd. become 7 years old in 2009 which was celebrated with a party on 13 February. Just like two years ago, we announced a bowling competition. The prize was a Cup. This time Vargáné Saci and her raffled team received the Cup.
The 12. Santa Claus Rally took place on 6-7 December, 2008 in Veszprém. The rally team, sponsored by the Guidance Ltd. took the second place in its category, and eighth in the combined one.
Who is Ingrid? A charming giraffe girl :) The two-year-old giraffe has been adopted by the Mind Center Ltd, our partner in training organization, as a result of all the realized trainings organized for our colleagues. The colleagues are waiting breathlessly for the role of foster parents. :)
We finished our direct debit authorisation project this week. With this process the DirektNet of Raiffeisen Bank enriched with a new function. The development was finished on schedule. According to the first feedback, this function satisfied the demands of the clients of the Bank.
BroadVision, our strategic partner, announced on 4 November, that their common stocks would have been relisted on the NASDAQ Global Market Stock Exchange. This name has become inseparable from the companies representing new technologies. The common shares of BroadVision have been quoted from 10 November with the symbol of BVSN.
After long preparatory processes we have launched our management portal. Due to the GuiDesk system accessible on the net our colleagues will find administration more transparent and simple, while monitoring of the status of projects is becoming simplified, all necessary information for making decisions can be easily accessed by the managers.
As a partner of BroadVision we take part in the development of the new portal system, therefore two of our colleagues are moving to the Swiss domicile of Hilti. The work consists of two parts: development the administrative interface (Hilti Management Center), and the frontend part of the portal (Hilti On-line). Our colleagues participate in the development of both surfaces, using the Java Server Faces technology regarding the latter part.
Our ISO 9001:2000 certificate, which has been valid from 2005, has been renewed after an overall audit. We would like to thank all our colleagues for the cooperation!
On 19 May, 2008 we submitted an application entitled "Let's improve the future together!" - training program for the employees of Guidance Ltd.. Our application has turned out a success, so the trainings of Guidance Ltd. have been realizing since the beginning of June with the co-financing of EU within the National development Plan.
