Quantifying the Hungarian horses

Currently there is no central database for the horses (let it be pedigree sires or livestock), which would count all of them and would include information about the owner as well. Our company started a new project, given to us by the NÉBIH, with the goal to create this database with the help of different sources, like breeder associations. This way we can quantify the horses in a more precise way and additionally we can store information about the owner’s name and organization in an up-to-date, proper IT register - which later could be used for different purposes as well. As the horses hold quite a big value already, it will be necessary in the future to have a prompt database on them. At the present, different sources estimate the number of horses around 60 to 80 thousand.
